The hotel "DIOGENIS "built in the 19th century and is a characteristic example of architecture that prevailed in Syros at the time, with obvious neoclassical Venetian influences.
At times, the building was used as a bunker (ponker ships), warehouses, tanneries, lumber yard and cabaret.During the Occupation, it housed the Italian Carabinieri.
In 1980 he bought the "DIOGENIS SYROY SA" aiming at the creation of the hotel.With the help of specialists, but also with great sensitivity built a truly innovative hotel unit from 1993 until today continues to offer its services uncomplaining. In the winter of 2009 the Hotel "DIOGENIS "completely renovated in order to meet demands of the times, yet the needs of visitors.
